My heart breaks for Judy Garland.
What a broken girl. She was terribly insecure. They told her she wasn’t pretty or talented enough. The studio and even her own mother would make her take pills so that she could stay awake and work and work and just work, for even very low pay. She attempted suicide numerous times, married many times and fought a lifelong battle against alcohol and drugs. She ultimately overdosed at 47....
I’m really a homebody kind of person. I’d rather stay in for the night and watch movies, surf the Internet, or read probably. Don’t get me wrong, I do go to parties. Just to make sure my social life stays afloat and 50 years from now if I ever look back, I wouldn’t be completely ashamed of how I spent my college days. Oy, I partied too yes. But I’d rather stay indoors...
